Rapid urban growth in recent decades, led to the formation of numerous problems has led to a decline in quality of life and living in cities. Healthy Cities approach, specific response to the failure to secure favorable conditions of life for recent and future generations that has been urbanized. The assessment that which is a healthy city or in comparison with other cities , what is the level of health is somewhat difficult. In this study, various indicators of a healthy city of Shiraz in District 9 that the pace of urban development is more in comparison with other regions have been evaluated. Features of our time, urbanization, Urbanization and consequently the development of small towns and large. So that over the period 1990 to 2030, the population of urban areas will grow to about 3.3 billion people, of which, will be 90 percent in urban areas of developing countries. Urban planning should reach citizens in their demands for a healthy city, healthy living and clean air to help. Cities in terms of composition, socio-economic, cultural context, political weight, the ability, capacity and financial resources, etc. are different. So to achieve the goal of healthy cities in their own plans and programs need. Without a public capacity, is expected to plan and reach the desired result. This article Given the importance of the issue, to review and evaluate and components of a healthy city of Shiraz in the District 9.
In this study the research method is descriptive- analytical and required data were collected by field survey. Specific issues such as convenient transportation, urban sanitation, access to services, social security, housing, urban, environmental and were asked applications. Data processing was performed using the software spss. The results of various statistical tests such as ANOVA, T test, was evaluated. This is an Applied research and research methods are also based on a case study, in fact, is analytic. In this context, indicators of healthy cities in Region 9 Shiraz (study area), related literature, the library method was studied. So that a total of 213 questionnaires based on Cochran (model below), randomly among Householders in District 9 was released. The reason for choosing this area from other areas of the city, the existence of different ethnic groups, unhealthy land adjacent residential blocks, low income residents and relative poverty in the region. So a four-man team was formed and regular periodic studies to collect data needed for the study area took action. Then, using spss software and various tests, outlines the current status of the region in terms of access to the index of a healthy city have been investigated.
Results and Discussion
The results showed that the indices in the region 9 Shiraz, the economic, social, environmental enjoyed inappropriate and municipality in shiraz district 9 has not been success effectively in functions of Health in this region.
The evaluation of Healthy city indicators in shiraz district 9 remembered us that this area of the city is a relatively large distance to other regions in terms of access to health indicators, so district 9 in Shiraz city needs more attention of urban management. New thinking with a focus on improving environmental sustainability, environmental health, quality of life and so is one of the most important cases in its core ideas nurtured like a healthy city. Healthy city, a utopia with which to achieve it during the past centuries, philosophers and scholars have always considered and today, the agenda of planners and policy makers in various sectors of society, including development planners located. According to the World Health Organization in a city with a permanently healthy public policy and develop health-oriented perspectives as Physical environment, health and welfare, basic needs, living in urban economics, innovation and dynamism, access to expertise and resources broadly to all, encouraging the community to connect with cultural heritage, having the appropriate level of public health and health care, having structure to accommodate the city etc. In this context, the present study is that use of the above ninth city in the region is studied, different results compared to the ideal and vision of the city is healthy lead. So that the results of studies in this area show that indicators such as Satisfaction with job security, satisfaction of citizens with access to quality green space and situation in the region, the consent of furniture, landscape and urban beauty, painting equipment and utilities, visual quality, satisfaction of citizens with the availability of public facilities and entertainment, satisfaction of citizens with the public transport system, the satisfaction of the performance of institutions in the field of health and cleanliness of the environment, satisfaction of citizens with municipal land use in district 9 and Finally, qualitative and quantitative indicators of housing as indicator items in good condition are not having a healthy city. A significant proportion of immigrant residents, adverse Householders literacy, work in low-income jobs as day laborers and many Householders in District 9, which showed lack of facilities and infrastructure issues, high density, Restriction access to health services, malnutrition and other causes of accessibility to health indicators, quality of life and ultimately away from the goals and vision of the city is safe. In general, and reviewing the studies in the field of indicators such as health, security, social welfare, participation and physical protection can be said in District 9, This metropolitan area in Shiraz city of criteria and indicators is far from healthy. Due to the failure of the healthy city indexes were charged in District 9 Shiraz, to improve the current situation and enhance the quality of people's lives as close to normal city standards, proposals will be presented as follows:
- Creating sports venues for people living in this area especially women, who have less access in this area
- Develop green spaces and parks provide recreation for residents of the neighborhood to the metropolitan area
- Use the views of citizens on solving existing problems in the area of participatory management of the city
